Tangent is an artist-run gallery/studio space
established June of 2007. Designed and built
in a corner shop that once housed a Safeway,
Tangent is a modest gallery with three simple
goals: To display dynamic and compelling
modern art by local and non-local artists,
to give back to the neighborhood in which
they established the gallery by attracting
commerce and visitors, and to serve to
community of Sacramento by offering art
that, in many cases, other local galleries
have been unwilling to display.

LOVE TO HATE at Tangent
The big box stores have been ready for over a month now. Are you? Whether you celebrate Valentine’s Day or S.A.D. (Singles Appreciation Day), February 14th is almost upon us and love is in the air. In the month of February, Tangent presents LOVE TO HATE, a group show exploring the full spectrum of human emotion and the recipients/objects of these feelings, with a specific focus on the extremes of love and hate. In the typical Tangent way, this thought provoking show will include work in many media by many artists from Sacramento and beyond.
